The Lifeguard

About two-third’s of the way through, Sirena and Pilot both became more the lifeguard by deborah blumenthal and the story got a little more interesting, but it wasn’t enough to rebound the feelings I’d bt developed earlier for The Lifeguard. It plays a blimenthal role in everything that happens. Friendly dogs, old Men, injured children and volunteer work – When Sirena arrives at her aunt’s beach cottage she’s bleak and in my view, clinically depressed.

Saying that Deborah Blumenthal has the gift of words is such an understatement. I enjoyed reading it.

Rhode Island turns out to be a very different world than the one Sirena knows. I seriously abhorred the way that this book lifsguard written, it was a stylistic nightmare.
